Peach Tree Begins Construction on Signature Sacramento Site
New Site will be first Community Health Center with integrated Vision Services in Region
Sacramento – Peach Tree Health began construction on its first new site in Sacramento County. This new Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) site will provide integrated vision services with primary care services for the community. This new site will compliment Peach Tree Health’s existing Peach Tree Norwood and Peach Tree Midtown locations currently operating in the county. This new site is a result of a successful collaboration with Dignity Health and is expected to open in the summer.
“Community health centers are so critical to increasing local access to quality care,” said Congresswoman Doris Matsui, a long-time champion of community health centers. “Peach Tree Health will now be able to deliver primary care services to many more people who need it. Ultimately, this new center will connect patients to the care they need, regardless of their ability to pay, and improve health outcomes for our city.”
Peach Tree Health has found success and tremendous needs in incorporating vision services in its Yuba and Sutter county sites and will bring the same comprehensive approach to Sacramento. There is a limited supply of vision services for low-income families especially those families that are part of the Medi-Cal program.
“Peach Tree Health is excited to announce the beginning of construction of our first new site in Sacramento to add a new service line to our network of sites in the county,” said Greg Stone, Chief Executive Officer of Peach Tree Health. “The addition of vision services at our Peach Tree North Sacramento location will provide access to vision care which has an extreme shortage in the region and will be included in a comprehensive selection of primary care, behavioral health and immediate care services provided by Peach Tree Health in the region.”
