Sumit Johl, M.D., Joins Peach Tree Health

Peach Tree Health announced today that Yuba City pediatrician Sumit Johl, MD, has joined the Peach Tree team. Ownership of her practice on 470 Del Norte Avenue has transferred to Peach Tree Health. Dr. Johl and her staff will continue to work out of this location.

“We’re very honored to have Dr. Johl onboard,” says Peach Tree CEO Greg Stone. “She’s an excellent doctor and a great asset to our community. With this move, Dr. Johl will have more time for patient care. Also, her patients will have access to the full-range of services Peach Tree offers.”

Dr. Johl is well-known throughout Sutter County. She began her private practice in Yuba City in 1993. “Back then, the hospital invited outside doctors to the area and helped them set up their own offices,” says Dr. Johl. “I was one of them. In six months, my schedule was full, and it’s been that way ever since.” She says listening to patients has been the key to her success.

Peach Tree and Dr. Johl started merger discussions last year. Within six months, a contract was signed. “The whole transition was very smooth.” says Dr. Johl.

Dr. Johl received her medical education in India and completed her residency at White Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles before opening her practice in Yuba City. “I appreciate all the opportunities the community has given me in the past 22 years,” says Dr. Johl.
